Wildflowers

Spring has sprung! Here in the Gorge, we love the arrival of spring…it means lots of great hikes, scenic views, and wildflowers.

We are not the only place to view wildflowers…but we think it's special here, and it is. What I love about wildflowers in the Gorge is also what I love about the Gorge itself: the diversity of what we have: lush green landscapes, dry arid sweeping grassy plains, waterfalls, creeks, rocky crags, and so on.

Wildflowers in the Columbia Gorge

The wildflower season can start early, and last quite a while because the flowers bloom at different times depending on their location.

So, whether you live here or you are visiting…first decide how you want to view the wildflowers. Do you want an easy stroll, a challenging hike, a scenic bike ride, or just a leisurely drive?

Once you figure that out, get some directions and get out there and enjoy the view…and the wildflowers!
